08.22 Moments of shifting between everyday perception – a dull, flat & lifeless interpretation of living – and the sharp, clear edge of images & panorama of sounds when a sudden shift into presence occurs: these are a common feature of this course’s meals, as are the frequent visits of Silence. In the dining room, in an oasis of silence, the loud hammering of the surrounding construction sites returning to work at the beginning of a week, the traffic, the car alarms, bash & holler away but fail to enter the protected space as Silence holds its moment.
